Vendor and buyer checks that fit the listing process
An AML/CTF program from AUSTRAC’s real estate starter kit, client checks that don’t hold up a campaign, and records for every sale. Made for independent agencies.
Which agency work is covered?
Tranche 2 is about the service, not your job title. If any of these apply, you have obligations for that work.

Questions agencies ask
Who is our customer, the buyer or the seller?
Usually the person you act for, which is normally the vendor. Buyer’s agents act for the buyer. Our guide for agents walks through each case.
Is property management covered?
Generally not on its own; the obligations attach to brokering a sale, purchase or transfer. Check AUSTRAC’s real estate guidance for your situation.
We’re part of a network. Can we still use this?
Yes, if your network hasn’t mandated a provider. Many independents choose their own tools.
