Verify every client before settlement, without slowing the file
A program from AUSTRAC’s conveyancing starter kit, client checks your clients finish on their phone, and a record of every decision, ready for your next review.
Which conveyancing work is covered?
Tranche 2 is about the service, not your job title. If any of these apply, you have obligations for that work.

Questions conveyancers ask
When should checks be done?
Before you provide the service, which in practice means at instruction. AUSTRAC’s real estate rules allow some delay in limited cases; check the guidance before relying on it.
Do clients need to come into the office?
No. Most clients verify on their phone. You can still record in-person checks where that suits.
What if the buyer is a company or trust?
We pull the ASIC extract or read the trust deed, map the owners and send each person who needs verifying their own link.
