What does Tranche 2 require of a small firm?
If you provide a designated service, you must enrol with AUSTRAC, appoint a compliance officer, document a risk assessment and AML/CTF policies, verify each client and its beneficial owners, screen them, report suspicious matters, train staff and keep records for seven years.

Questions
Does using ScreenlyyID make my firm compliant?
No software can do that on its own; the obligations stay with your firm. ScreenlyyID gives you a program built on AUSTRAC’s starter kits, runs the client checks, and keeps the evidence so you can show what you did and why.
Is my firm covered by Tranche 2?
It depends on the services you provide, not your profession. Tax returns alone usually aren’t covered; forming companies or trusts, handling client money or acting in property or business sales usually are. The gap check asks about your services and tells you.
How is this different from the AUSTRAC starter kit?
The starter kit is free and a good base, but it runs to hundreds of pages and dozens of forms. ScreenlyyID turns it into a guided setup, then connects it to the client checks and records you need every day.
Where is our data stored?
In Australia. Client records are kept for seven years from the end of the relationship, as the rules require, then deleted.
Can I use it inside my practice software?
Yes. You can start checks from a link inside your existing system, and some software providers offer ScreenlyyID as part of their product.
