AML compliance for EU estate agents, ready before July 2027
The EU's new AML Regulation sets one rulebook for estate agents across member states, including lettings at or above €10,000 a month. We're building the same guided workflow we run for Australia's Tranche 2, for EU agencies.
- Buyer and seller checks with the EU digital identity wallet or an ID document
- Company and beneficial-ownership register data, with discrepancy reporting
- Source of funds captured for every purchase
- Records and reports ready for your national supervisor
Based on Regulation (EU) 2024/1624. Technical standards from AMLA and national rules are still being finalised.

Questions
When does the AMLR apply to estate agents?
From 10 July 2027, according to Regulation (EU) 2024/1624. Some details depend on technical standards from the new EU AML Authority (AMLA) and on national supervisors.
Are letting agents covered?
Lettings are covered where the monthly rent is €10,000 or more. Lower-value lettings fall outside these obligations.
Is this the same as the Australian product?
It's the same engine and workflow, with an EU pack: different services, data sources, thresholds and reports.
